(Older Ayham walks toward the child.)
Scene 2 - First Meeting
Older Ayham:
Hey, little man.
Child Ayham:
Do I know you?
Older Ayham:
Yes.
Look at my hand.
We have the same scar.
Child Ayham:
Wait...
Who are you?
Older Ayham:
I'm you.
From the future.
Scene 3 - Joke & Reflection
Child Ayham:
No way.
Future me would be taller.
Older Ayham:
...
Yeah.
I was hoping for that too.
Child Ayham:
This is awesome!
Older Ayham:
Yeah.
It is.
(He looks at the child for a moment.)
Older Ayham:
I forgot how happy you were.
Before you started worrying about everything.
Before you thought you had to prove yourself.
Scene 4 - Did Something Happen?
Child Ayham:
Did something happen?
Older Ayham:
A lot happened.
Some of it hurt.
Some of it changed us.
But listen to me...
I'm here because of you.
Don't ever lose this smile.
One day, you'll get us through more than you could ever imagine.
You'll do great, little man.
Child Ayham:
Really?
Scene 5 - Goodbye
Older Ayham:
I promise.
(Older Ayham kneels in front of him.)
Older Ayham:
I just wanted to see you once...
Take care of yourself, okay?
(He kisses the child on the forehead, stands, and begins walking away.)
Mother, off-screen:
Ayham!
Child Ayham:
Coming!
(The child starts to leave, then turns and keeps looking at Older Ayham as he walks away.)
