Why these websites are controversial
Seven useful sites and what to watch out for on each one.
Tools in this guide: ToolFK
Seven websites that are useful, and the reason each one gets people arguing. Know the risk before you open them.
1. FaceCheck.ID
Go to facecheck.id.
Upload a photo of a face and it shows where that face appears across the internet.
Why it is controversial: anyone can look up a stranger from a single photo. Use it to check where your own photos ended up, not to track other people.
2. ToolFK
Go to toolfk.com.
Over 200 free tools in one place: video, images, voices, converters and more. No account needed.
Why it is controversial: all-in-one free sites like this are often linked to piracy and shady downloads. Stick to the tools and skip anything that asks you to download a file.
3. WiFi Map
Go to wifimap.io.
Find free WiFi spots near you. Works in almost every country.
Why it is controversial: the WiFi passwords are shared by other users, and public networks are not private. Avoid banking or logins on a network you found this way.
4. NumLookup
Go to numlookup.com.
Getting calls from an unknown number? Type it in and see who is behind it.
Why it is controversial: it can show a name tied to a phone number, which is personal data. Results are not always right either.
5. SMS24
Go to sms24.me.
Temporary phone numbers from many countries. Use one when a site asks for your number and you do not want to give your real one.
Why it is controversial: every message sent to these numbers is public. Never use them for banking, email or any account you care about.
6. 10015.io
Go to 10015.io.
One website with over 100 free tools: AI tools, photo tools, writing tools, converters and more.
Why it is controversial: convenient, but you do not always know how your files and text are handled. Do not upload anything private.
7. CallBomberz
A site that sends a flood of automated calls to one phone number. I showed it to explain how automated call systems work.
Why it is controversial: using it on someone is harassment and it is illegal in many countries. I am not linking it here. Do not use it on anyone.
Before you use any of these
1. Never enter passwords, card details or your main email.
2. Do not upload private photos or documents.
3. Use them on yourself, not on other people.
These sites change often. Check each one yourself before you trust it.
